| In the past few months the
number of sales and marketing jobs that I and other companies have
been recruiting for is on the rise. Even better it’s not just
the small business sector but the larger corporate giants have begun
to carefully add roles.
What does it all mean? Companies are preparing to grow and take
market share. Sales and marketing are added when the business is
getting poised to grow and generally other supporting roles such
as management, finance and customer service will follow in the next
12-18 months. No this won’t be a job boom, but many companies
are signaling that signs of future growth are on the horizon as
new positions are slowly being added in. It had to happen as we’ve
seen unprecedented productivity gains in the past 16 months, due
mostly in part to US workers logging in more hours and taking reduced
pay for the work being done rather than true productivity improvements
such as what comes with technological or process improvements. In
addition companies are stretched to their thinnest staffing levels
in over a decade.
For the small business it means it’s still a great time
to take advantage of adding on new or improved staff before the
next hiring wave begins. For the job seeker it means it’s
time to dust off the resume and sharpen the skills to ensure you’re
ready for tomorrow’s new opportunities. So the question for
both is are you ready? You can get started today by contacting us

and career goals.
