When The
Opportunity Comes Will You Be Ready?
You never know when opportunity will come knocking and
you need to be ready when it does. Your resume, career
goals, portfolio and references need to be ready to be delivered
on very short notice. Unfortunately most individuals have
to go through a missed opportunity to realize this. I have
two stories from recent clients that illustrate the point:
Panicked call from a Sr. Level Executive
Will you be ready if you meet the President of a great organization,
especially when they have an opening that would be a perfect match
for your skills and abilities? 80% of all jobs come through networking
and sometimes random events. Here’s what happened- A high-level
Sr. Executive who I had known from the past called me late one night
in a panic. She needed a resume by midday tomorrow and could I create
one that highlighted all her talents?
